The Human Resource Manager is responsible for providing Human Resource support to the property in the areas of staffing, training & development, employee relations, and compensation and benefits. This includes the implementation of annual and long-term incentive plans, the performance appraisal process, succession planning, all company policies & procedures, training programs, employee recognition, employee surveys, and employee relations. This position works closely with the business unit management to provide the tools necessary to effectively administer the above programs. Assists in the further development of strategic HR planning for employees.
The incumbent works closely with Training & Development, Compensation, Benefits, HR team, ADP, Safety, Payroll, Legal, management personnel, and all employees.
Developing and implementing programs, training, interventions, and processes in support of business goals.
Creating an HR plan specific to the department focused on process documentation/efficiencies, leader/manager development, org structure, communication and problem resolution.
Developing and maintaining an integrated HR data package.
Coach managers to independently solve HR issues.
Participate in the development and implementation of a manager development program to grow manager capability at the resort.
Participate in the continuous improvement efforts
Partners with other HR functions to address recruiting, employee relations, benefits and training needs.
Attract, retain and develop critical talent within the business.
Provide expert consulting and trusted advice on complex department and people issues.
Ability to prioritize, devise action plans, negotiate for resources and support, drive collaboration and manage stakeholders.
Work within a strong and cohesive team and inspire and develop the team to deliver excellent results.
Able to articulate an objective and clear point of view to business leaders to establish personal credibility as a key member of the team.
Ability to quickly understand, connect the dots and translate business priorities into HR implications and drive action and focus.
Demonstrated competency and experience interpreting HR guidelines.
Ability to influence managers at all levels in the organization.
Experience with coaching, consulting, team development and program management.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects and solve problems using data.
Knowledge of ADP, web-based reporting and other data tools.
Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, problem solving, business partnering and communication skills.
Ability to create process documentation and eliminate non-value added processes.
Collaboration, communication and team work are critical to getting work done at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort.
Required Experience: Requires a minimum of 5-10 years of progressive HR experience. PHR/SPHR Certification is a plus.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, Organizational Communications, Management, and/or Industrial Relations or related field or equivalent work experience in the field is desired. Master’s degree is a plus.
