Summary:
Purchasing Manager will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, and services and managing vendors. The successful candidate will perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals, and find more profitable suppliers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:
• Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
• Manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
• Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs
• Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff and allocating tasks
• Track and report KPI’s to reduce expenses and improve the effectiveness
• Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and change notices to assigned vendors
• Recruit and maintain suppliers that provide high-quality products and with better pricing
• Updates and maintain the item cards for all equipment in Great Plain (GP) as needed
• Work with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and clients on invoice disputes, revisions, or credits when necessary
• Manage department budget
• Various other duties as assigned by management
Supervisory Responsibilities: this job will require the ability to manage 1-3 Material Buyers

Education and/or Experience – Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related Business degree recommended. Experience in the logistics, purchasing, or inventory fields is preferred. Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within this field and experience with Access and Excel is preferred.
