Job Description

 

Portfolio Administrator and Trader

 

The portfolio administrator and trader is responsible for ensuring account data is accurate and accounts are traded in a timely and efficient manner. Duties often fluctuate with market volatility and seasonal volumes, so flexibility, critical thinking, and working well under pressure will be critical to meet deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Rebalance client portfolios to maintain investment objectives, invest new deposits, and provide cash needs

· Reconcile daily transactions and resolve discrepancies with the custodians of assets

· Provide superior, friendly, and knowledgeable service via telephone and email with team members as well as clients

· Effectively prioritize work to meet trade deadlines and service needs for clients

· Other duties will be assigned as needed

 

Required Qualifications

· 2+ years of financial services experience, including customer service

· Ability to stay organized and communicate effectively with team members as well as clients

· Experience working with RIA’s and independent financial advisors a plus

 

Education/Training

· Bachelor’s degree or 3 plus years working in the financial services industry or related fields of accounting, math, logistics, data management.

· Proficiency in Excel

· Familiarity with financial trading and investment management software a plus.

· Either CFP, CPA, CFA, Series 65 are also plusses

· Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude

· Exceptional attention to detail

· Clear communication skills

· Critical thinking and willingness to learn new processes and investment ideas

· Curiosity

· Must work well in a team environment, supporting others and filling in as necessary

· Must be able to prioritize and switch tasks as needed

· Comfortable with web-based applications

 

Compensation and Benefits

· Salaried position with an opportunity for an annual bonus and a competitive benefits package. Salary range from $60K to $100K depending on experience.
