Job Description: Job Title: Production Supervisor Annual Salary: $70k to 80k Location: Tracy, CA ⦁ We offer great incentives and perks. ⦁ Full healthcare benefits *Please Note No relocation. Duties and responsibilities: ⦁ To be considered: You must have - Two to Five years of Management experience in a Food Processing environment ⦁ Advanced knowledge of GMP’s; HACCP Certified Duties and Responsibilities ⦁ Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment(s); Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules ⦁ Creates, reviews and follows daily employee work schedule; addresses any concerns with the Production Manager ⦁ Monitors and oversees employees on the assigned production line(s) ensuring Production Sheet Instructions are followed, employees are offered/taking timely uninterrupted meal and rest breaks, and production is completed in a safe and timely manner ⦁ Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems ⦁ Responsible for Daily & Weekly reports on yields ⦁ Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to minimize costs and prevent operational delays ⦁ Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines ⦁ Responsible for Batch record review ⦁ Interprets specifications, formulas, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties ⦁ Interprets company policies to workers and enforces GMP and safety regulations ⦁ Notifies Production Manager of any unscheduled absences and unforeseen issues ⦁ Completes the Production Job in the Canopy System ⦁ Follows all safety guidelines and ensures all employees follow safety guidelines; reports any work-related injuries to HR as soon as possible (no later than 24 hours); monitors production floor for any safety hazards and reports issues to Production Manager and/or HR ⦁ Ensures Production Supervisors fill out paperwork timely and correctly throughout the shift ⦁ Maintains and proactively updates production standards summary to increase efficiency ⦁ Encourages and counsels employees to maintain a high level of professionalism and to address issues with management and HR if necessary ⦁ Answers radio requests, email, and voice messages; Responds to questions and solves problems ⦁ Informs Production Manager of whereabouts, attendance, and activities; Proactively identifies problems and potential problems, and offers potential solutions ⦁ Maintains a working knowledge of and adheres to company policies and procedures ⦁ Collaborates with other departments such as Purchasing, Warehouse, QA, HR and R&D regarding material, equipment, quality concerns, labor status, personnel issues, etc. ⦁ Supports Production Manager as needed ⦁ Assists other employees as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities competencies ⦁ Assess issues; Investigates; Develops preventative solutions; Makes decisions and documents processes and results ⦁ Motivates, coaches, communicates (written and oral); Organizes and leads people and projects ⦁ Works independently and with others; Promotes a harassment and discrimination-free environment ⦁ Adheres to ACM Policies and Procedures; Upholds and supports ACM’s organizational goals and values Qualifications Minimum qualifications : ⦁ Bachelors Degree or equivalent education/work experience ⦁ Two to Five years of Management experience in a Food Processing environment ⦁ Advanced knowledge of GMP’s; HACCP Certified ⦁ Ability to read, speak and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos; To effectively present information in one-on-one and small group presentations to management, small groups, co-workers, and other employees of ACM; To speak clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations; To listen to others without interrupting and seek clarification ⦁ Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10’s and 100’s; To perform these operations using units of American money; To create statistical formulas in Excel ⦁ Ability to create and carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions; Solid analytical skills are required; Must be self-motivated and pro-active; Must be able to work well with others ⦁ Knowledge of and intermediate ability to use various computer-based programs including E-mail, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook ⦁ Ability to gather and verify information, recognize and define problems, analyze findings, draw conclusions and present solutions ⦁ Ability to use a keyboard for data entry and general business correspondence, etc. ⦁ Ability to perform each primary responsibility satisfactorily referred Qualifications ⦁ Degree in Food Science or related field of study ⦁ Two to Five years experience with Meat Processing ⦁ One to Three years experience with Scan Guns and/or TI stations ⦁ USDA Trained ⦁ Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus physical Demands Physical demands: . ⦁ While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, move from one station to another, operate a pallet jack ⦁ The employee is regularly required to talk and hear ⦁ The employee is regularly required to use repetitive motion and reach overhead ⦁ The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle and feel ⦁ The employee is regularly required to walk on wet, even and uneven surfaces, reach with hands and arms, lift and relocate up to 25 lbs. ⦁ The employee is occasionally required to push, pull, balance, stoop, climb, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. ⦁ Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus Company Description: Balance Staffing is a full-service staffing agency that aims to unite talented and hardworking people with excellent workplaces, while building lasting relationships with our employees and our clients.
