Chef Einat Admony opened Balaboosta to share her vivacious personal food, full of sun-drenched inspiration from Israel and her family’s Persian and Yemenite background. Balaboosta is all about big smiles and flavors. We are grateful for our loyal neighborhood clientele as well as those who seek us out as a destination.
We seek a passionate Junior Sous Chef to assist in the day-to-day kitchen operations. As a Junior Sous Chef you will support the Executive Chef and team by paying close attention to detail, consistency, and execution of crucial prep and service tasks alike. You will work closely with the Executive Chef on placing food orders, and standards of practice. You will be responsible for the smooth operation of the kitchen, supporting the Chef, Cooks, and staff in a wide variety of tasks.
If you are an enthusiastic, curious, and efficient young chef looking to learn and develop as your career progresses, this role in our small, intimate restaurant will allow you many opportunities to strengthen your technique and grow in the industry. Also, you will have the chance to work directly with Chef Einat from time to time.
