Job Summary

The Director Social Impact plans, directs and implements programs and initiatives that support the organization’s community outreach and social impact mission of empowering homeownership to strengthen communities. The ideal candidate will lead an integrated framework that combines charitable, DEI, community involvement, and training initiatives supported by our leadership and implemented through the active participation of our people and select partners. They combine a strong track record within the nonprofit community with exceptional communication and project management skills. They also possess a clear understanding of the role media plays in amplifying and promoting the organization’s efforts, message and brand.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Works with the COO and leadership to craft annual social impact strategy and activities
  • Develops and executes integrated social impact plans with clear goals and timelines
  • Coordinates efforts with internal and external stakeholders to optimize impact and engagement
  • Leverages an entrepreneurial approach to build revenue-enhancing strategic partnerships
  • Identifies opportunities and finds creative, effective ways to drive awareness and participation
  • Liaisons with industry organizations whose missions align with the organization’s goals
  • Promotes efforts through collateral, advertising, online/social media and public relations
  • Oversees event coordination that includes internal participants as well as outside partners
  • Partners in the development and delivery of relevant training and content to all audiences
  • Tracks, measures and reports on all related efforts, and presents recommendations

  • Equally strong independent contributor and team player with a collaborative approach
  • Fluid interpersonal skills, enabling effective interface with leadership, staff and independent contractors
  • Proven experience and understanding of racial equity and broader socioeconomic issues
  • Effective writer and speaker, able to communicate consistent messages to a variety of audiences
  • Able to understand the big picture while staying focused and performing individual tasks
  • Creative thinker and influencer, excelling in ideation and ability to bring new ideas to life
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond in a constantly evolving social landscape

  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and project management skills

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and a minimum of five years of demonstrated relevant experience with a successful track record are required.
