Maintenance Technician/Carpenter

Bailey’s Real Estate & Property Management is looking for a Maintenance Technician/Carpenter in the Central NY area to service apartment buildings/communities at three locations: Clinton, Sherburne and Oneida NY.

A Maintenance Technician/Carpenter is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. As a Maintenance Technician you will be entrusted to preserve the good condition and functionality of the properties. You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks such as painting, changing locks, plumbing repair, HVAC troubleshooting, changing or replacing electrical devices and more. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all safety guidelines. We take pride in our properties and the goal is to maintain the properties in the best possible condition.

Main Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

Working to maintain curb appeal, pleasant appearance, and clean communities

Apartment Renovations - Install flooring, tile, cabinets, doors, molding, closet systems, bathrooms and more

Apartment turnovers - cleaning, prepping, painting, and repairing units to be move-in ready

General Maintenance repairs consisting of minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, appliance troubleshooting, and general repairs.

Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.)

Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality

Assist other personnel as needed

Grounds work including landscaping, trimming, etc.

On-Call service is only for true emergency that can not wait until regular working hours. and do not happen regularly.

Qualifications:

Must have experience in related fields

Ability to regularly lift 50+lbs

Resident focused

A self-starter and reliable team member

Carpentry, plumbing, painting, and basic electrical knowledge

Strong organizational and technical skills to service apartment units and property

Valid driver’s license

Must have dependable transportation. Truck/Van a plus

Ability to regularly walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and stand for long periods

Ability to work outside in all weather elements.
