Job Description

The Role:

Exciting new start up looking for high integrity, professional Business Development Executives to join our team! Title may vary depending on experience. This is a commission only 1099 contractor sales / individual contributor role. You will sell pre-employment background screening and drug testing and will be responsible for the full customer life cycle: lead generation through account management. You will call on business accounts and close new sales to drive revenue growth and coordinate all business development activity in your region. Role may exist in any major US City. This is an excellent opportunity that offers residual income.

This is a startup background screening and drug testing company founded by a seasoned industry executive very familiar with the competitive landscape in this space. Unlike other screening competitors, our organizational structure is flat which means that we do not have the cost associated with many layers of management. With zero debt and low cost structure we are very price competitive while offering leading accuracy and turnaround times. We pay our BDE's excellent commissions and residual income. We have outstanding technology and the worlds fastest and most accurate data.

The Opportunity:

Competitors pay successful reps a base salary and small percentage (ex. 6%) on their sales for twelve months which earns them @ $150k each year on about $1 million in sales. A comparable sales performance with us will earn you $200k in the first year + residual income and no cap. $300k + is within reach within a couple years or sooner depending on performance. This is a significant earnings opportunity. A well connected professional will very quickly do extremely well. You will need a great attitude and willingness to learn and help us develop the market in your region. This is a great culture as only positive, winning attitudes will be on the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and take action to drive sales
  • Become an expert on screening products and system capabilities
  • Sell background screening and drug testing services
  • Track and report results and trends regularly for business forecasting
  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies
  • Build and form new partnerships with potential clients
  • Track monthly results and trends for business forecasting
  • Establish sales goals and metrics
  • Resolve escalated customer complaints
  • Become a subject matter expert on background screening and drug testing
  • Represent the business at public extents with impeccable professionalism and conduct beyond reproach
  • Respond to customer requests with urgency and accurate information
  • Contract BDE furnishes own business equipment and transportation

Qualifications:

  • Always display the utmost in professionalism and integrity
  • Previous experience in sales, account management, or related field
  • Experience representing a high-quality brand
  • Self-starter able to direct one's own activity
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Must work well with a team
  • Experience in background checks a plus
  • Experience scaling a startup is a plus
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing environment
  • Will consider recent college grad or internship
  • Provide your own business tools such as phone, laptop, and transportation
  • Professional, scrappy, and tenacious
  • Comfortable in a commission only role
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms or related software
  • Willing and able to build a territory from scratch that will produce residual business revenue and high earnings for the BDE
