Account Manager Job Description

As an Account Manager at Babyscripts you will support our payer and provider customers and partnerships across the country.  You will be responsible for revenue growth through Babyscripts’ customer base by driving customer retention, contract renewals, optimizing variable revenue, upsell, cross-sell, and expansions.  You will build collaborative relationships, optimize the use of Babyscripts, create best practices for account management, and ultimately drive improved outcomes for Moms and babies through collaboration with external partner clinical and organizational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal team members and external payer and provider customers to optimize Babyscripts payer deployments and provider deployments demonstrated through high member enrollment and engagement, improved care coordination, and improved maternal health outcomes
  • Collaborate with the internal product and operations team to develop implementation and ongoing account health plans. Ensure it is scalable and sustainable, and then deliver. Problem-solve as needed throughout implementation to ensure all issues are resolved, goals are met and provider and health plan partners are satisfied.
  • Support collaborative partnerships with community-based organizations to collect and report on program impact and outcomes
  • Work with internal product and operations teams to drive ongoing customer success in achieving goals and objectives related to enrollment, engagement, HEDIS, Quality and Outcome improvements
  • Optimize Babscripts revenue growth through upsell, cross-sell, expansion, renewals, referrals to new customers, and maximizing variable revenue
  • Lead monthly and quarterly outcomes review sessions with health plan operational, clinical and/or population health teams to identify opportunities for improvement, develop and execute tactics to achieve overall program goals and objectives 
  • Drive customer success and ROI through the use of solid project and program management techniques, effective communication, data analysis and reporting, and group facilitation skills.
  • Effectively manage programmatic timelines including tracking deadlines for program deliverables.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders using problem solving and change management techniques to deliver high quality solutions
  • Deliver against monthly and quarterly enrollment objectives through SMART metrics and KPI’s, implement improvements as needed to meet revenue, enrollment, churn rate, and NPS targets
  • Understand contractual obligations to the health care plan partner, in full, and ensure that all are met successfully at all stages of program implementation and delivery
  • Serve as day to day subject matter expert on Babyscripts products and services
  • Collect and synthesize data that highlights member outcomes to support team training, improve high-quality engagement, deepen internal understanding across markets, strengthen relationships with our partners, and enable us to continually drive toward results
  • Ensure strict compliance to all local, state, federal laws, rules of the provider and/ or health plan

Required Experience & Skills

  • Have 2+ years of experience with physician groups, health systems and/or health plans, ideally in a population health or maternal health case/ care management leadership role
  • Familiarity with the healthcare landscape with a passion to apply market learnings more broadly
  • Experience building mutually beneficial relationships with large provider groups, health systems, IDNs, state Medicaid, and/or managed care organizations to improve quality of care and deliver excellent health outcomes for maternal patients.
  • Excellent project/process management skills (particularly with modern tool suites built off of cloud-based collaboration), and you are rigorous, energetic, agile, flexible, and aren’t afraid to do the work yourself
  • Proven ability to align organizational aspirations and needs, transformative insight, and leadership to satisfy the overall objectives of the project, and leave behind permanent benefits
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze internal and external data to identify account performance and growth opportunities
  • Strong time management skills & the ability to respond well to time pressure and deadlines
  • Naturally curious, passionate and have a strong desire to learn 
  • ​​Demonstrate resilience and the ability to influence and collaborate with internal teams whilst under client pressure

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership in population health, with expertise around value-based and FFS contracting models, day to day workflow and operational challenges, and accountability for driving performance against population health objectives
  • Deep understanding of data quality, quality measurement, value-based care, and alternative payment model framework
  • A familiarity and passion for  Maternal and Child healthcare and  population health

Logistics

  • The candidate must be able to successfully work remotely. The candidate must have experience designing and establishing a productive, efficient, and balanced WFH routine so as not to detrimentally affect either professional outcomes or personal life.
  • Occasionally, the candidate is required to attend in-person meetings, sessions, workshops, and other events with members of his/her team or with customers or vendors.
  • Currently, the Babyscripts team is fully remote. From time to time, travel to the DC Metro area or other areas for meetings and/or conferences will be required.
  • *Please be aware this position requires working directly onsite with our customers, and most of our customers require standard immunizations, including the COVID-19 vaccination, to work onsite. As such, the person hired to fill this position must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 according to the current CDC definition of "fully vaccinated." Additionally, certain customers may require health testing in order to go onsite. If this is required as part of the essential responsibilities of this role, Babyscripts will cover the cost of such tests.

This is a full time salaried position offering competitive pay commensurate with experience.
