Job Advert: Key accountabilities:
• Provide direct PUHMA technical support, acting as end users single point of contact for PUHMA questions and issues. Develop and share expertise in the use of PUHMA. • Develop and deliver PUHMA Training to site and central users, including in-person, remote, and computer-based training. • Improve the utility of the PUHMA tool by working directly with various technical Continuous Improvement Forums (CIFs) and BP subject matter experts to develop, deploy, and maintain: o a set of standard, robust, technology-specific calculation methods o a comprehensive library of robust global engineering and math functions
• Work with Intelligent Operations and IT&S to provide technical input in the effort to maximize the value of the cutting edge digital technology in unit health monitoring tools. Help deliver global deployment of approved technology. • Steward the growth of the PUHMA user base by developing and leading a PUHMA User Group to share and extent best practices across sites.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent.
Essential Experience and Job requirements:
• General knowledge of several refining process technology areas (e.g. hydroprocessing, delayed coking, reforming, etc.). • Familiar with refining unit health monitoring tools and processes. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on working effectively in teams • Must be comfortable doing basic technical programming. • Must be proficient to expert in the use of Microsoft Excel.
In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate one or more of the following: • Should be self-motivated and have good organizational and time management skills. • Ability to multitask and manage workload in order to meet multiple deadlines without sacrificing quality • Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently, and work as a member of a cohesive team • Ability to quickly learn new digital technology and deliver tools in the new platform
Desirable criteria and qualifications: • Experience with the BP PUHMA tool.
