We're currently looking for an excited and talented {Job Title} to help us push our organization forward by helping us in the following areas:

Job Description:

This position of Mechanical Engineering Manager is responsible for leading, managing and controlling all of mechanical activities with the objective of the automotive switch products.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Leading mechanical team to create concept design/BOM/TDR to support customer RFQs.
  • Managing and supervising mechanical team in line with BCS global design standard and process.
  • Directing, coaching and training mechanical team for product design in development period.
  • Ensuring mechanical team to meet all of project/customer key milestones in product development period.
  • Ensuring mechanical design is in mature through design reviews, DFMEA review, Gate review and other BCS design procedures.
  • Leading VAVE activities of mechanical team.
  • Coordinating new products/projects activities with CPA team.
  • Responsible for employee’ performance reviews, remuneration, and any changes in job level or scope.
  • Report projects and team status to engineering director in regular base.
  • Managing engineering project team, managing the tasks of the different members of engineering projects or program team including all disciplines.
  • Ensuring design milestones/deliverables and a safe launch are met.

Experience and skill requirements
  • Fundamental technical knowledge based on at least a bachelor university degree
  • Has min. 7 years’ work experience in the Automotive field and more than 3years experience of team leader
  • Able to train and coach common CAD Software for design principle.
  • The deep knowledge of automotive product, manufacturing and engineering
  • Good understanding of company business, procedures and processes.
  • High level of analytical ability and negotiation skill, strategic competence.
  • Based on the organization’s objective, set up department goal and coach staff to set up short-term practice plans, review and consolidate the submitted plans in order to ensure the department goal meets the company’s targets.
  • Supervise or oversee staff’s work activity and implementation, solve the difficult problems or emergency situation within the department, or coordinate with other department if necessary in order to achieve the department goal.
  • Manage and coach staff’s performance, provide the job description to own department employees to ensure that they understand and perform according to the requirement, and solve people issues in order to maintain the morale of the team and motive team perform.
  • To integrate experts into local team and maximize team output.
Other requirements
  • Must have excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Interfacing with the customer is required.
  • 10% travelling required.
Education requirement
  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
