Boston office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks labor and employment and higher education associate attorney with 5+ years of experience. The candidate will advise management in all areas of labor relations and employment law for private and public sector employers. Will provide counseling on a broad range of matters, such as labor negotiations and contract administration, private and public sector discrimination matters, internal investigations, including Title IX investigations, discrimination complaint assessment and defenses, disability accommodations, student and employee affairs, institutional policies, handbooks, privacy issues, regulatory compliance and trainings. Assist in investigating and drafting Title IX reports, Equal Opportunity Plans, and other regulatory compliance documents. Advocate for management clients in all phases of labor and employment relations, including agency litigation, mediation, wage and hour inquiries, grievance arbitration, in state and federal anti-discrimination agencies and courts. Assist in and conduct internal workplace discrimination, harassment and Title IX investigations. Counsel employers on compliant HR systems, employment agreements and contracts and processes and policies. Draft employment agreements, contracts, employer handbooks, and policies. Respond to litigation matters including subpoenas, court orders, and trial court motions; and perform other matters typical of an employer-focused practice. Represent clients before state and federal agencies, courts, or tribunals. Must have membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar. Knowledge and experience of full litigation cycle, including drafting discovery and responses, depositions, drafting briefs and motions are needed. Law offices are located in Boston and Yarmouth, Massachusetts. The law practice has one-hundred years of professional legal expertise. There are fourteen practice areas namely bankruptcy-creditors' rights, corporate-business, energy, family law and litigation.Additional Skills: The candidate should have JD degree. A strong academic background is essential. Excellent writing, analytical, oral advocacy and litigation skills are required. Must be able to work as part of a team in a face-paced environment as well as manage matters independently and proactively.
