We are looking for a full-time employee to support our in-house travel department with core job functions of assisting clients with cruise travel arrangements over the phone and via email as well as managing all inclusive hotel room blocks. The ideal candidate must be able to assist a variety of clients via phone for extended periods of time in a professional manner while relaying multiple details with accuracy. The ideal candidate must be able to respond quickly and proactively to client requests, be proficient in resolving client complaints, be detail oriented and able to offer informed recommendations to enhance the client's overall travel experience. This person must also be able to work on multiple projects with varying deadlines and be willing to assist other team members as needed. Other duties include, but are not limited to, answering general calls, processing registrations, data entry, invoicing, submitting payment requests, creating and proofreading information packets, packing for exhibits, reviewing reports for accuracy, filing and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School degree or equivalent
2 years minimum of travel agent or travel counselor experience or similar equivalent
2 years minimum of experience performing moderately complex general office assignments
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate skills in Excel, Word and email
Must enjoy assisting customers via phone
Professional and dependable – must be able to adhere to a regular work schedule
Must be organized
Ability to problem solve
Strong attention to detail – able to keep tabs on multiple projects at once and manage changing deadlines and competing priorities
Self-starter – the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must have a positive attitude and be coachable
Ability to deal professionally, courteously and tactfully with the public and coworkers.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds on an occasional basis and be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must pass a criminal background check
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours, per week. Hours to be determined.
