BBQ Island is searching for a retail sales associate at its 2 locations in Scottsdale and Peoria, AZ. A couple/few days a week at each location. This will require the associate to be flexible and have a reliable source of transportation.
BBQ Island is an outdoor specialty store that specializes in selling stainless steel gas grills, access doors and drawers, smokers, pellets, charcoal and other outdoor entertainment. BBQ Island has been in business over 17 years and is currently expanding its employees and number of stores and is hiring part time/ full time employees.
Description: Retail Salesperson
Retail Salesperson Job Purpose: Customer Service, assist customers by helping them select products. To help with BBQ Island day to day business.
Retail Salesperson Job Duties:
• Welcome customers by greeting and offering them assistance.
• Direct customers to smokers, grills and outdoor equipment that suits there needs.
• Educate customers by providing information on products.
• Help customer make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions.
• Document sale by creating or updating customer profile records.
• Process payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash, and store or other credit cards.
• Keep clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Complete inventory cycle counts and receive inbound restocking items.
• Update floor tags and pricing in a timely manner.
• Stocking and facing shelves, cleaning grills and the store.
• Other job duties as assigned.
• Pay is adjusted by experience.
Skills/Qualifications: Computer skills, Listening, Customer Service, Meeting Sales Goals, Selling to Customer Needs, Product Knowledge, People Skills, Energy Level, Dependability, General Math Skills, Verbal Communication, Job Knowledge. Prior sales experience is a plus but hard work and determination is accepted.
