ABOUT OUR DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROGRAMS

Our Dispute Resolution programs help businesses create services involving mediation and arbitration, tailored to the specific requirements of the business, and meet federal and state regulatory requirements. For 40 years, our trusted and impartial processes have been used by many businesses needing a dispute resolution mechanism to resolve their customer disputes. Our out-of-court services are offered in three major industries: automotive, telecommunications and class actions.

YOUR IMPACT

As a Compliance Manager, you will work directly with BBB National Programs Dispute Resolution leadership to provide guidance for our dispute resolution programs, including BBB AUTO LINE.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Partner with leadership to monitor for and identify potential risks and gaps in compliance
  • Coordinate the implementation of policies and procedures to verify legal and regulatory compliance
  • Conduct employee training on compliance and policy topics as needed
  • Serve as liaison, communicating with external auditors to facilitate required audits, including obtaining necessary documentation from external and internal stakeholders
  • Respond to requests and inquiries from regulatory authorities in a timely and professional manner
  • Conduct legal research on a variety of matters, including dispute resolution, trademarks, lemon law, and compliance
  • Update existing legal resources for both internal and external documents, and create new documents as needed
  • Draft, edit, and review contract templates, training resources, and other key documents
  • Assist Assistant General Counsel with preparing responses to subpoenas


WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in the appropriate field of study (or equivalent work experience) and
  • 3+ years of compliance experience (compliance experience may be substituted with advanced education focusing on legal studies and/or compliance, including a Juris Doctor, Master's in law, or similar degree).
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize information with strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to instill compliance practices
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
  • Solid project management skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills
  • COVID-19 Vaccination
