BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Senior Principal Quality Engineer who would be excited to join a leading top tier global aerospace & defense enterprise as part of the Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) Quality team working at the Nashua, NH site as a Manufacturing Performance Assurance (MPA) engineer.
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished material product. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment, and conducts quality assurance tests. May be certified in lean and six sigma quality methodologies and utilize quality tools to help drive continuous improvement.
Primary focus is associated with the Product Build Assembly, Inspection and Test (AIT). Areas of responsibility include corrective action management, performance of manufacturing audits, review and analysis of critical processes, data pack creation for Corrective Action Board and establishing, documenting and evaluating inspection processes and criteria.This person will be have lean six sigma knowledge, effective communication and coordination skills and strong internal customer relationship skills.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's degree and 6 plus years of experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience or equivalent
- Must have 6 years of experience as an engineer during the design and manufacturing phase of the project
- A minimum of 6 years of experience using Microsoft office and Internal Quality Root Cause and Corrective Action Systems
- Must have experience working directly with customers
Preferred Skills and Education
- Working knowledge and experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection, Product Process verification, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis and Production Part Approval Process
- ANSI 14.5. GD&T Certified
- Green Belt Certified
- IPC 610 certified
- APQP Experience
