Job Description

Job Requirements:

Provide support to a government client in the following areas:

  • Answering Pricing Questions: Field questions from all levels of the organization including C-Suite and front line employees on all pricing policy matters.
  • Drafting Pricing Exceptions: Based upon existing national and regional practices, draft and submit pricing exceptions and deviations on behalf of the region.
  • Train Staff on Pricing Policy: Knowledge share as needed to ensure staff understands the basics of pricing policy.

Specific requirements will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Fielding questions through various channels (email, meetings etc.) and providing succinct responses referencing the correct pricing policy language from official reference materials

  • Attending meetings as necessary and sharing pricing expertise whenever a pricing matter presents itself

  • Maintaining an understanding of the pricing exception process from cradle to grave and ensuring proper documentation is drafted, submitted and archived for future reference

  • Attending meetings if necessary to discuss pricing exceptions and deviations and representing the official position for any real estate transaction

  • Sharing knowledge with staff both formally and informally. Formal training will occur through the Hip Pocket program which is a regional non cost training program where subject matter experts in the region teach a topic for the region. The contractor shall prepare 1 training session per fiscal year. Informal training will also be provided to staff and leadership on pricing policy, including in regular meetings or conversations.

  • Tracking and monitoring the transition of the current OA Tool and eSmart to OASIS, the replacement tool. Implementation is projected to be the end of FY 2022. Duties will include coordinating training activities, developing revised processes and procedures, and responding to pricing and OA questions

  • Recommending approval or disapproval of rent exemptions, exception requests, and late OA submissions

  • Researching pricing issues and questions raised by internal staff and customers

  • Training or coordinating training for internal staff on pricing policy revisions, OASIS Tool, and other policies related to pricing policy

Job Qualifications:

  • Four year college degree
  • Extensive knowledge of PBS Pricing Policy
  • Thorough understanding of Pricing Policy and OA Tool
  • Understanding and relationship of REXUS, GREX, eSMART, RETA to pricing policy and the OA Tool
  • Familiarity with points of contact in Central Office on Pricing Policy
