Azure also offers innovative signal processing solutions to challenging problems in the realm of radio frequency spectrum awareness.What will you do?Azure Summit Technology is currently seeking a Configuration Management Specialist. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team.
This position is located at our Melbourne, Florida, office with remote work opportunities and occasional overnight travel to our Fairfax, VA, headquarters; our contract manufacturing facility in Baltimore, Maryland; and various customer sites as required. The selected candidate is expected to relocate to our Melbourne, Florida, office within 90 days after their start date. Your future team has worked together to produce the following job description:Responsibilities for this job may include: Working in a team environment to establish and execute a configuration management program for multiple systems/programs in various stages of design, development, or production Ensuring the proper documentation of hardware Configuration Items (Cl) Establishing baseline identification of products through release of specifications and drawings Maintaining configuration control databases and providing configuration status accounting reports to IPTs and program management Preparing supporting documentation of proposed changes for Configuration Control Boards Monitoring the incorporation of configuration change items Conducting audits of CM activities throughout a project's life cycle to verify compliance with established CM procedures and standards Planning and/or facilitating internal/external configuration audits, including Physical Configuration Audits and Functional Configuration Audits, in coordination with customer stakeholders Producing reports related to delivered changes, results from functional testing, and various change management metrics Training personnel on Configuration Management procedures, process, and quality improvements Tracking and reporting on Hardware end of life (EOL) status Utilizing various CAD tools such as Visio, Autocad, Creo, Team Center, and similar tools.
Implementing engineering change notices (ECN) to maintain various technical drawings, including electrical schematics, industry fabrication drawings, electronic assembly drawings as well as digital, power, radio frequency, and optical cable assembly drawings Create monthly Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) for change management, including configuration status accounting and ECNsBasic Requirements- US citizenship, due to nature of the work and contract requirement- Ability to obtain a TOP SECRET security clearance, due to contract requirement- Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related discipline or equivalent experience- 10 years' experience working in a configuration management environmentPreferred Qualifications- TOP SECRET/SCI clearance- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related discipline- CMMI or ITIL experience- Understanding of the Systems Development Lifecycle ProcessAzure Summit Technology is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
