Job Description

 

Description of Job:

  • Update SAP systems to receive or ship finished products in order to maintain accurate inventory and keep finished products available as needed. Includes verifying condition and accuracy of shipments, checking cost of all stock, updating paperwork, entering data, delivering reports to QA, Production or warehouse, and notifying appropriate person(s) of transactions
  • Conduct cycle counts daily, full count weekly, lot by lot counts quarterly with support of warehouse supervisory team
  • Reach discrepancies, make inventory adjustments in database, and implement solutions in order to verify and maintain accurate inventory. Conduct rail car inventory
  • Conduct causative research in order to identify the root-cause of an inventory discrepancy
  • Help employees locate product; issue product and receive product from sister plants and record transactions in date base in order to control movement of inventory and maintain accuracy
  • Helps to maintain organization, cleanliness and safety of warehouse in order to provide an efficient and enjoyable work environment
  • Dispose of spoils in the system after approval from warehouse manager and record transactions in order to make space in the warehouse for good inventory
  • Research, investigate, and resolve inventory control problems and conducts physical counts as necessary
  • Reviews requisitions, and set up new inventory items
  • Helps to investigate and resolve shipping errors from customers
  • Maintains computerized and paper records, and generates inventory reports with recommendations
  • Maintains inventory cost, monthly cost report and inventory reports
  • Tracks usage of high ticket items and reports shrinkage
  • Provides back-up shipping clerk as needed
  • Understands the appropriate requirements in the use of code dates and product rotation, by code dates. FIFO METHOD (First in First out)
  • Insure that all procedures are followed to maintain product safety for all customers
  • Generate the perpetual inventory report on a daily basis and evaluate if there are any differences and report them to the management staff
  • Keep control of documentation of all paperwork generated such as bill of ladings, including receipts, loading worksheets, purchase orders, perpetual reports, production reports, shipment reports, and others that may affect the transactions made at the warehouse
  • Be aware of any discrepancies or problems that can occur during the daily operation and notify the management staff, while at the same time assisting the supervisors and managers to resolve the problems
  • Follow all inventory guidelines and procedures to include Sarbanes Oxley procedures
  • Must work and be available for all month end inventories
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned
