Aware Recovery Care (ARC) offers a holistic approach to treatment and changes the way clients receive care throughout the country. ARC is a year-long, home based, addiction treatment program that works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assist clients in their first year of recovery.

In this workplace, employees are given more freedom to map their paths to growth (with the financial and moral support they need).

Position Summary: *This role is Sunday - Thursday 9am-5pm*

Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, provides administrative support services to the admissions team for clients coming into the Aware Recovery Care program. This position requires an understanding of Aware Recovery Care’s philosophy of treatment, admission process, and criteria. Basic knowledge of substance abuse and dual diagnosis is essential. The individual is responsible for ensuring that administrative intake services are provided for patients as they are on-boarded into the program.

  • Check the electronic verification system (EVS) system to verify current health insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility 
  • Trained in basic Aware Recovery Care intake and referral process 
  • Track contacts, clients, providers, institutions, and their hierarchies as well as referrals in and external referrals made on a daily basis through SALESFORCE 
  • Maintain client health records through the creation of folders and scanning, uploading, categorizing, and saving of documents in the EHR 
  • Knowledge of MAT advantages, disadvantages, side-effects, signs/symptoms of overdose/managing withdrawal symptoms 
  • Is aware of resources available for co-morbidities, dual diagnosis if needed, as well as other levels of care 
  • Expected to perform all duties within their scheduled workweek 
  • Comply with State/Federal requirements 
  • Ability to use electronic health records, phone systems, customer resource management software, and more general office computer systems 
  • Create and update client contacts on a daily basis
  • Assistance with creation and updating of all forms and releases prior to admission 
  • Verify client’s open and outstanding legal issues through the CT Judicial website
  • Maintains a cooperative and positive attitude at all times and approaches patients, colleagues and family members in a professional and welcoming manner 
  • Professional and proficient written and verbal communication 
  • Acute time-management, keen attention to detail, superior organizational skills, ability to multitask and be proactive and take initiative 
  • Assist with additional projects as needed to support admissions’ team 
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Required SkillsBachelor’s Degree Preferred
Minimum 2 years with customer service or equivalent experience
