Avint LLC is seeking a Chief Technology Officer with a minimum of fifteen (15+) or more years of experience in federal and/or commercial cybersecurity. The CTO is a customer facing cybersecurity evangelist that will lead solution architecture, technical innovation, and the art of the possible to our federal and commercial customers. You will lead overall technical innovation, differentiation, strategy, and sales to include execution of the Avint technical vision/direction. You will be responsible for providing leadership to our Technology Innovation Group for a spectrum of complex cybersecurity engagements.


Position Responsibilities
  • Innovative Solutions. Bring deep domain expertise in technical strategy and solutions to actively participate in the definition and implementation of the long-term technology solution strategy aligned to our strategic plans
  • Provide Expertise. Provide subject matter expertise to collaboratively develop, document and brand solutions in support of business development efforts
  • Grow the Business. In support of sales and business development plans, meet with current and potential customers technical leadership to evangelize Avint technical capabilities and solutions. Actively participant in the growth and capture process to include writing and reviewing proposal materials and participating in orals and technical challenges.
  • Build Relationships. Support partnering with vendors to develop differentiated solutions and represent Avint at key industry and speaking engagements
  • Deliver Exceptional Quality. Achieve outstanding quality for all supported engagements. Closely partnering with service delivery and operations teams to ensure technical excellence in delivery
  • Manage Risk. Proactively manage risk for efforts under management
  • Innovate Cyber Paths. Create and define cybersecurity career paths that align to Avint core services and solutions through professional development, mentorship, or other avenues
  • Mentor Staff. Responsible for the identification, development and mentoring of junior to senior level technical staff
  • Resource Plan. Build and execute resource plans to achieve group goals
  • Solve Problems. Champion a "start with yes" approach to creative problem solving
  • Represent Avint. Be an ambassador to the Avint brand through social media, engaging with clients, and presenting to industry

Technical Areas of Expertise
  • One or more industry recognized cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH or OSCP
  • AWS Cloud Architecture or Azure certification strongly desired
  • Experience with Splunk, Elastic or other big data integration platforms
  • Experience with Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) technologies
  • Foundational knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence uses cases within cybersecurity operations and data management

  • At least 15 years of experience in the technology services industry with significant experience in the federal information technology/government contracting market.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Ability to develop, manage, and implement a technology roadmap and portfolio
  • Experience with and thought leadership in building holistic cyber security programs and integrated technical solutions
  • Ability to mentor, lead, and promote technical talent to include solution architects and solution developers.
  • Experience collaborating with program managers, project managers, and clients to improve the delivery of services
  • Knowledge of the government procurement process including responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFI), etc.
  • Significant experience supporting capture activities to include participating in gate reviews, writing specific sections of proposals, providing preliminary technical guidance for solutions, and task order pricing
  • Ability to lead and facilitate tech challenges in support of RFPs and developing prototypes and tools to support market teams based on client needs
