Senior Project Manager for the Implementation of an ERP Accounting Application

Job Summary:

  • Project Manager for implementation of an ERP Financial Application for the local Government Water Utility
  • Coordinate project priorities, scheduling, resources, and deliverables to facilitate the completion
  • Provide leadership to support and execute business process-related goals
  • Work with departments and users of the system to facilitate resolution of issues
  • Timely delivery of all assistance, information, and reports
  • Troubleshooting and support for all application issues
  • Coordinate with the appropriate team(s) and or integrator(s) to resolve application related issues
  • Provide professional and technical coaching, mentoring, and development plans.
  • Develop technical reports, and specifications for trend analysis and remediation
  • Will be responsible for submitting weekly team summaries and periodic evaluations of team members
  • Communicate and gather requirements for deliverables

Required Skills:

  • Certified Project Management Professional
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Application Management experience with an ERP Accounting System
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server and Workstation technologies
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products
  • Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory roles and permissions
  • Strong troubleshooting and resolution skills
  • Strong customer focus with a positive attitude
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, as well as possess a sense of urgency to address critical technical issues
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team to resolve issues
  • Ability to manage and multi-task assigned tasks
  • Flexibility to work off-hours and weekends when required
  • The ability to exercise best practices and decision making with regards to systems development, deployment, implementation, and maintenance is required

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in application support
  • Minimum of 3 years of Project Management Experience
  • Experience with managing software systems, implementations, and interfaces
  • Experience with medium to larger scale projects and software implementations

Additional Skills Preferred:

  • Software development and testing experience
  • Experience or knowledge of a Mainframe Environment or interface
  • Business Intelligence and analytics experience
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • General knowledge of query writing, and report development processes, techniques, and concepts
  • Water Utility or government agency related experience
