<div><p>Sign On Bonus- $5,000.00</p><p>Position Overview<br>The Nursing Director is responsible and accountable for the planning, organizing, directing and evaluating nursing services of nursing location (non-PDHC offices). The Nursing Director (ND) is responsible for the management of all operational services for their location of responsibility. Working within the federal, state, and regional regulations covering home health the Nursing Director works innovatively to meet the needs of our exceptional patients while fulfilling the Aveanna’s mission of future growth.
Collaborating closely with the Area Clinical Director, the ND establishes and participates in program development and implementation. The location nursing team members report up through the ND who oversees hiring, discipline, training, and all nursing related items.<br><br>Essential Job Functions<br>• Assign patients for day-to-day management to nursing coordinators and/or Nursing Supervisors/Managers<br>• Maintain open lines of communication with families and physicians<br>• Evaluate new referrals for admission with recommendations for nursing care<br>• Monitors clinical status of all patients and ensures coordination of patient care<br>• Monitors patient care to ensure quality and appropriateness of services<br>• Monitor staffing patterns of all patients<br>• Ensure compliance with Nurse Practice Act<br>• Evaluate and supervise staff based on mutually agreed upon goals in job descriptions<br>• Ensure that the RN supervisors/clinical care managers are aware of any updated policies and procedures<br>• Support and assist in registry nurse hiring, orientation and education PRN<br>• Maintain awareness of third party payer rules and regulations<br>• Assist and support marketing efforts<br>• Maintain awareness of monthly budget<br>• Maintain effective interdepartmental communication<br>• Performs and provides direct patient care as appropriate and needed<br>• Participates in location administrative and clinical call as needed<br>• Perform on site supervisory visits to assess client, family, environment, and clinical care givers and complete follow-up documentation as needed<br><br>Requirements<br>• Registered Nurse, Associates/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience<br>• Current Nursing License<br>• One year of management experience<br>• Clinical or other work experience as per state and/or federal laws and regulations<br>• Valid Driver’s License and Acceptable MVR<br><br>Preferences<br>• One to two years pediatric/neonatal experience preferred<br>• One year of home care experience preferred<br><br><br>Other Skills/Abilities<br>• Must be able to adhere to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times<br>• Knowledge and understanding of compliance with adherence to regulations<br>• Ability to comfortably work with families with limited resources<br>• Quick-thinking and astute decision making skills<br>• Attention to detail<br>• Time Management<br>• Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution<br>• Good organization and communication skills<br>• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations<br>• Strong commitment to clinical excellence<br>• Quick-thinking and astute decision making skills<br>• Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution<br>• Excellent organization and communication skills<br>• Leadership skills<br>• Ability to train and supervise staff<br><br>Physical Requirements<br>• Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English<br>• Must be able to travel; company does not provide vehicles or transportation<br>• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of 25 pounds<br>• Must be able to lift 50 pounds<br>• Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting<br>• Must be able to sit and climb stairs<br>• Must have visual and hearing acuity<br>• Must have strong sense of smell and touch<br>• Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance<br>• Must be able to appropriately respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport<br>• Occasional rapid movement and physical agility in response to the spontaneity of children and those patients with neurological impairment<br><br>Environment<br>• Performs duties in an office environment during agency operating hours<br>• Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions<br>• Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases<br><br>Other Duties<br>• Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
