PRIMARY PURPOSE:The Admissions Recruiter will be tasked with identifying and targeting key schools with shared educational mission for strategic partnership with AMU in several key geographic areas. The goal will be to build a pipeline of applicants from these schools to attend AMU and to build a good relationship with the schools so that AMU alumni are desirable candidates for open positions within them. Regular travel to and virtual meetings with these schools will be essential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist AVPEM and Provost in identifying key schools for partnership.
  • Regular travel to schools.
  • Engage students to prompt interest in and applications for AMU, both for athletes and non-athletes.
  • Position will require a willingness to travel frequently and for extended periods of time. Travel will be both by plane and driving.
  • Make introductions between key schools and key administrators/faculty at AMU to build relationships.
  • Assist with University events, programs, and tasks when not traveling. As assigned by AVPEM.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree. Preferably from Ave Maria University

EXPERIENCE: Preference for experience in education or sales.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Exceptional time management and organization skills

Exceptional interpersonal and oral and written communication skills

Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and under supervision.

Willingness to serve and build relationships with colleagues.

Must possess strong initiative, leadership skills, organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask to manage a variety of projects and priorities, coordinating the actions of others, follow through on projects to timely completion, and demonstrate excellent judgment with attention to detail.

Microsoft Office experience with Word, Outlook, Publisher, Excel, Power Point software experience.

Must possess valid driver's license and ability to fly regularly.

Must support the University's Catholic mission.

PHYSICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 - 20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, type and perform data entry, visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information, ability to hear in order to answer telephones and to communicate verbally, and the ability to sit for extended periods of time.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed indoors with minimal safety hazards, and requires seated, standing, and movement work.
