Workday - Senior Consultant - HCM / Recruiting (AMS)



As an HCM / Recruiting Senior Consultant, you will be expected to provide expert guidance and delivery on all project engagements. Senior Consultants have the opportunity to support more junior members of our team and share your knowledge with them. Avaap Consultants act as trusted advisors to our clients, making it our goal to build and manage our client relationships.


Responsibilities Include

• Superior communication, consultative and presentation skills with solid technical abilities to lead client engagements 

• Experience in data loads, validation and extraction of Workday Data (iLoads, EIB, workbooks, Advanced Loads, XML, etc )

• Provide expert client management skills that includes capturing of business requirements, providing options and sharing best practices within the Workday ecosystem, as well as participating in business development discussions to deepen relationships

• Continually improve Workday knowledge by attending training and monitoring relevant Workday Community postings 

• Design and implement solutions to solve highly complex technical and business problems 

• Work with project managers and other consultants to forecast the hours allocated for your role across the project timeline 

• Responsible for adhering to the Workday Methodology 

• Configuration experience; be able to drive process design and should be able to learn as needed 

• Collaborate with other consultants, including other functional areas to deliver a complete solution including the various touch points between modules                               

• Accountable for the successful deployment of your workstream into production



Desired Experiences and Skills

• Experience on implementations specific to Workday Recruiting (either through consulting or client-side experience) required

• Workday Certification in HCM, Recruiting preferred If not already certified, certification in HCM / Recruiting will be required

• Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training 

• Experience deploying multiple HCM projects simultaneously a plus 

• Superior personal initiative 

• Ability to work with no supervision and direct the actions of others 

• Expert presentation skills

• Superior knowledge of MS Excel

• Ability to insert into any project as a recognized leader by both client and coworkers         

• Acumen for technology, abstract thinking    

• Ability to thrive in client-facing situations with all management levels

• A highly committed individual with a background in problem solving, operations environment

• Passion for working with people and systems, and a strong interest in helping customers succeed

• A team player mentality is a must            

• Discipline, integrity, attention to detail and problem solving skills are a prerequisite to be successful in this role                 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to summarize the work done in an articulate fashion via email or case notes                       

• Experience with Workday Compensation or Talent is a plus

• Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed


Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively 
  • Must be able to perform work indoors and remain stationary at a computer  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration
  • Ability to work remotely or out of one of Avaap’s physical office locations
  • Regular travel may be required as requested by client or business needs
  • Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
