Automation Engineer

Join a fast-growing manufacturer that is part of a global family that offers great benefits and career growth potential. As Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the Company's Distributed Control System (DCS).

Responsibilities

• Automation support for the 24/7 manufacturing operation
• Troubleshooting of control software and hardware
• Implement code improvements through a robust Management of Change process
• Work with Process engineers to improve current automation programs
• Develop and implement code for new products and production units
• Maintain backups of the DCS and related PLCs
• Develop and maintain DCS security processes in accordance with best practices
• Develop reporting tools and process trends
• Maintain all related software licenses
• Interface with related external vendors 
• Work with broader parent company groups as appropriate

Requirements

• BS in Engineering + two years; OR five years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment (Control Room)
• Experience working with and programming a DCS and SCADA systems
• Experience working with and programming PLCs, HMIs, and drives
• Experience working with and configuring data historians
• Experience with cyber security requirements for OT systems
• Expertise in PLC systems (Allen-Bradley preferred)
• Expertise with tuning controls (PID loops)
• Ability to understand P&ID, electrical diagrams, and equipment drawings
• Ability to troubleshoot common field devices
