Main responsibilities include underwriting customer prospects, identifying key risks with existing customers, and collection of payments.
You must also:
Manage all aspects of accounts receivable and collections.
Take ownership of the credit process
Underwrite credit risk for new customers.
Identify policy exceptions.
Process and manage collection/claims for delinquent accounts
Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Organize information and statements for both internal and external audits.
Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.
Perform other tasks as required by Automation
Salary Range: $50K - $60K
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or comparable experience
Ideal candidate has 5 to 10 years of experience in underwriting or collections
Experience in accounts receivable or collections as supervisor or manager preferred
Highly proficient in computer software programs such as, word processors, spreadsheet programs and database systems
Strong mathematical skills
Knowledge of state and federal collection laws
Knowledge of high-volume collections, credit authorization and billing procedures and practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail
Analytical ability to develop and implement process improvements
Able to work well with senior executives and management team, as well as mentor/lead department
Understand and follow all EEOC, workers compensation, OSHA and other safety rules.
