Behavior Technician – ABA Therapy

Autism Applied Consultants LLC provides Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) treatment for children with autism, ages (newborn) 0 years to 22 years, in their homes and communities. We are currently seeking bright and extremely enthusiastic applicants who value changing lives and providing quality ABA treatment to children with autism to our team.

Behavior Technician/Paraprofessional Job Description

• Monitors the client’s progress on implementation of the goals of the treatment plan developed by the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst

• Provides coaching, support, and guidance to the parent/guardian/caregiver in implementing the plan

• Collect data and input into data collection software.

• Works closely with the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst to ensure the treatment plans and risk management/safety plan are implemented as developed.

• Reports to the licensed applied behavioral analyst if the client is not achieving the goals and objectives set forth in the treatment plan so that the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst can modify the plan as necessary.

• Assists the client in implementing the goals, programs and protocols of the treatment plan developed by the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst.

• Directly implements skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst.

• Check and maintain schedule on scheduling software.

• Maintain open communication regarding cases with clinical supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• Must be energetic and enthusiastic about working with children

• Valid Massachusetts driver's license

• Current automobile insurance

• TB Clearance

• Criminal background clearance through the Massachusetts DOJ.

• Experience with ABA and working with children with autism preferred.

• Willingness to work with children that engage in severe problem behaviors including but not limited to punching, kicking, biting, throwing objects, spitting, peeing and scratching.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor`s degree in Psychology/Childhood Development or a related field; or enrollment in a B.A./B.S. program in Psychology or a related field strongly preferred.

• Experience with ABA and working with children with autism preferred.

• Highschool GED/Diploma

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
