The Editorial Services Associate (ESA) is primarily responsible for helping authors through the editorial services process as quickly as possible.The ESA may answer an author's editorial inquiries or direct general questions to the appropriate department.Successful candidates must have a high regard for customer satisfaction and demonstrate strong delivery skills under pressure.The core schedule for this position is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility for start and end times.Additional hours and/or overtime may be required depending on the needs of the business.Due to COVID-19, this role is currently a work from home opportunity with an expectation that the position will transition to on-site in the Bloomington, Indiana office when normal business operations resume.Work from home requires reliable and stable fiber, DSL or cable internet service.Primary Responsibilities: Prepare manuscripts for the editors to perform full services on.Manage a large volume of titles... going through the editorial services process.Answer general questions by phone or email, research any issues with title-specific editorial services, and track all communications through CRM.Provide white papers, guidelines, and other editorial information to authors, as needed.Advance complex author questions to the editorial services coordinators or editorial management.Direct authors wishing to purchase editorial services to their consultant in the sales department.Key Qualifications: High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred (preferably in English, linguistics, communications, journalism, or a related field).Two to three years' prior customer or administrative service experience required.Book editing / publishing experience preferred.Superior knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet use, and proficient keyboard, skill and accuracy.Exceptional verbal and written communications skills with the ability to handle multiple situations with tact and poise.Ability to work independently and with strict deadlines.Must have ability to multitask and manage multiple prioritiesBenefits include: Comprehensive medical benefits coverage, dental and vision plansHealth Savings Account with employer contributionShort- and long-term disability (company paid)Life insurance and AD&D insurance (company paid)Voluntary Supplemental insurancePaid time off, including 10 holidays401(k)Employee (and Family) Assistance Programs (EAP)Referral BonusEmployee Publishing DiscountCOMPANY: At Author Solutions, the world leader in supported self-publishing, we help authors publish the books they have always dreamed of publishing - more than 225,000 authors and more than 300,000 books.We have served authors on every continent and in more than 120 countries around the globe.We provide the technology and services that make publishing easy, affordable, and available to anyone, anywhere, anytime.At Author Solutions, we empower authors to write, publish and share books that enrich readers' lives around the world.Job Type: Full-timeSchedule:8 hour shiftWork Location:One locationWork Remotely:Temporarily due to COVID-19
