A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT CLUBHOUSE MANAGER
As an Assistant Clubhouse Manager with our food service kitchen team, you're responsible for ensuring a pleasant and exceptional fine dining experience for all members and their guests. You manage the service aspects of our food and beverage operation by training, developing, leading, monitoring, and advising all front-of-house staff. Ensuring proper room preparation, you oversee the setup of our dining room, which includes tables, chairs, linens, table settings, and glassware. You make sure our dining areas are always clean and safe by inspecting equipment, fixtures, and furniture.
Additionally, you assist in recruiting, selecting, hiring, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, and supervising our food service and bar staff. You conduct pre-shift and event meetings, confirming all service staff is in proper uniform according to our appearance standards. Working alongside other restaurant management staff, you track costs and inventory, which includes purchasing beverages, supplies, and equipment, maintaining effective profit and loss controls, and tracking expenses for payroll, supplies, and maintenance. Your strong leadership and fine dining skills keep our restaurant kitchen operating at optimal levels, and it brings you great satisfaction to know you thrive in this hospitality position!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT CLUBHOUSE MANAGER
- Proven leadership experience in a top-tier or upscale restaurant, hotel, or private club
- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation
- Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits
- Ability to be articulate, tactful, courteous, and diplomatic with members, guests, and fellow employees
- Ability to stand and walk for several hours as well as balance a loaded tray and carry heavy items up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
