Job Description

AVS is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Office Assistant to provide administrative support to our office and accounting staff!

This position works at our Murray Office Monday through Friday 8 am - 5 pm. In this role, you'll be responsible for answering customer phone calls, preparing budgets and records, and sending invoices. You'll also handle transactions and perform other duties to support our Accounting Clerk with accounts receivable tasks, scanning documents, and other computer work. Other duties include assisting managers and other office staff with needed tasks to help keep the office organized and running smoothly.

We're looking for a highly organized and schedule-driven individual with basic to intermediate accounting experience and the ability to balance and execute numerous tasks without supervision. Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering and directing phone calls, & taking messages as needed
  • Accounts Receivable tracking & other duties
  • Prepare balance sheets, budgets & invoices for customers.
  • Scanning & recording documents
  • Collect customer payments online and over the phone
  • Assisting with other miscellaneous tasks for the Accounting team.
  • Issue invoices to customers & external vendors as needed
  • Perform basic data entry tasks and process incoming/outgoing mail

Requirements:

  • Be able to maintain good attendance and provide reliable transportation
  • Self-Motivated & Detail-Oriented
  • Must have excellent time management skills and eagerness to learn
  • Able to balance and execute numerous tasks without supervision
  • Ability to work with diverse processes and people.
  • Basic to intermediate accounting experience is preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus
  • Be a US Citizen
