Whitiki Maurea is a Maori clinical service within the Waitemata DHB District Mental Health Services Division. We provide clinical care in mental health and alcohol and drugs with a tikanga Maori (cultural values and concepts) approach.
The Clinical Co-ordinator role is a critical role in this team. You will provide clinical leadership for the overall functioning, co-ordination and monitoring of the delivery of services by our mental health teams. You will contribute to the development of a highly skilled clinical-cultural team in all aspects of delivery of care to those who require support around mental health issues. You will be line managed by a Service Team Leader and will not have any direct reports. This role is about planning, leading, monitoring, developing, inspiring and co-ordination of clinical activities using effective clinical and Maori cultural models of care.
You will enjoy support and guidance from your Service Team Leader and the Cultural Team Leader and will work in close collaboration with our medical team, mental health nurses, social workers, occupational therapists and a clinical psychologist. We are a whanau ora focussed service and aim to support those who know best about their whanau health needs.
