POSITION SUMMARY:

  • This multi-craft position will provide skilled support to machine and building maintenance needs in an advanced manufacturing environment.
  • MUST HAVE: Strong Electrical knowledge and Strong Mechanical knowledge
  • Supervisory Responsibility: No


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities ranging from millivolt to 480V 3 phase AC and DC power.
  2. Applied knowledge of Servo drives, Fanuc robots, CNC controls, PLC controls, furnace controls
  3. Extensive, recent background in a manufacturing environment; knowledge of advanced mechanical troubleshooting and associated repairs: alignments, parts replacement, machinery modifications
  4. Must be able to complete all repairs associated with machining centers, mills, lathes, etc.
  5. Troubleshoot and repair all hydraulic and pneumatic issues
  6. Experience with installation of equipment ranging from rigging for safe movement of equipment to connections to associated facility systems
  7. Structure predictive maintenance program and perform preventive maintenance including advanced repair machining centers and lathes.
  8. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical printouts and operation sheets
  9. Gain basic knowledge of 6S safety and ISO organizational standards
  10. Develop exceptional safety record and promotes good safety practices
  11. Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable and a self-starter
  12. Ability to lift 40 pounds, with or without assistance
  13. Ability to accurately perform mathematical computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, also basic knowledge of percentages and decimals as related to manufacturing
  14. Maintain records on work projects completed; prepare written reports related to work assignments; document actions and present written progress reports
  15. Interface with all departments and levels of management
  16. Assists with other duties as needed and directed


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or Technical Certification Equivalents
  • Journeyman level License and High School Diploma and a minimum of 6 years work experience
  • Strong electrical knowledge across a wide spectrum of areas
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of operating Okuma, Mori Seike, Mazak, Gleason, Hardinge, Bridgeport mills, lathes, hobs, shapers, and broaches
  • Set position on teach pendants for FANUC robot systems, trouble and repair automated systems.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced license and/or Associate degree
  • High school diploma with 6 years of relevant experience
  • Strong Electrical knowledge
  • Strong Mechanical knowledge
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in industrial environment
  • Ability to complete millwright level repairs

  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem solving skills, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to interact with employees and all levels of management in a professional manner
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Proficient in use of computers with an specific emphasis on MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook (e-mail)



PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
