WGTS 91.9 Phone Operator Job Description
WGTS 91.9 is a listener-supported Federal Communication Commission licensed noncommercial radio station that is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; it is a self-supporting media ministry under common control of the Washington Adventist University Board of Trustees.
SUMMARY
Responsible for greeting donors, collecting confidential information, taking donations over the phone through secure donation page, and providing encouragement as needed. Represents the ministry to the community that calls in.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet customers warmly and gladly converse with caller
- Professional and efficient in verbal delivery
- Is able to handle stressful situations with ease
- Answer donor's questions or transfer to Donations Team member as appropriate
- Take a new gift securely online through WGTS' giving page
- Attend training session one week prior to Fundraiser
- Keep all information confidential
- Other duties as assigned

- Reports directly to the Business Office Manager/FCC Compliance Director

QUALIFICATIONS

Language Skills:
- Superior command of English grammar and spelling.
- Advanced verbal and written communication abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills.
Technology Skills:
- Minimum knowledge and application of Excel.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Has worked a minimum of two Fundraiser events on the phones
- Exhibits superior leadership skills and ability to work effectively and constructively with a variety of people.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Must be able to remain calm and in control during stressful situations.
- An impeccable attention to detail and reliability.
