Cyber Automation Database Developer (Senior). Provide Cyber Vulnerability Management support for
DISA Cyber Services Line of Services (LOB) by providing compliance monitoring/reporting, response and
mitigation, Cyber Automation and Management services, compliance validation, configuration, change
and account management, A&A, RMF, Federal Information Security Management Act compliance, Cyber
Risk Management, Cyber Standardization, and Mission Partner Engagement and Implementation for
DISA Cyber Security support systems.

Provide cybersecurity support for DISA and DISA's Mission Partners. These cyber-security services
include Access control, A&A, Audits, application administration, support for commercial on the shelf and
Government off-the-shelf tools, Cyber security documentation, DISA Orders Management, metrics,
incident response, network defense, Public Key Infrastructure support, risk management, training
management, security posture validation, and vulnerability analysis.


Analyze DISA cybersecurity tools and processes for consolidation, integration, and incorporation
to leverage additional automation opportunities to improve Ecosystem efficiencies and
Analyze customer data requirements and specifications
Create and maintain automated solutions to provide vulnerability lifecycle management for
database applications using Shell Scripting, Java, and UNIX environments
Create and maintain automated database reporting solutions using Extensible Markup Language
(XML) interfaces
Secure database environments (Oracle, International Business Machines (IBM), DataBase2,
MySQL) using DoD security regulations hosted on UNIX environments
Conduct performance tuning activities designed to optimize data management processes
Coordinate with appropriate stakeholders (Mission Partners and/or respective DISA personnel)
prior to development, testing, or implementation.
Conduct functional testing of developed solutions. Create and maintain documentation to
support the developed solution. Provide Tier III application support for tools developed
Maintain development environment and ensure compliance with all appropriate security
Create and maintain documentation for software releases supporting the user base. Maintain
code control using the Government defined software repository
Participate in normal sprint releases meeting stakeholders' timelines or emergency software
releases when operations tempo dictates
Provide A&A for Mission Partners
Complete peer code reviews quarterly
UNIX Database Toolkit
Database Toolkit Documentation
Peer code review

Required Experience


Must have database management using Shell Scripting, Java, SQL, and XML in UNIX
Requires current 8570/8140 certification with database focus / Must maintain in ATCTS
Five + years of relevant/recent experience with cybersecurity and server hardening
Three + years of relevant/recent experience with Microsoft Office products

Required Education


BA/BS + 5 years experience



Experienced and knowledgeable in the field of cyber security compliance and support activities
Knowledge of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Committee on
National Security Systems Instruction, including NIST SP 800-60, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-37,
and CNSSI 1253

Work Schedule: Primary coverage for the performance of duties shall be from 7:00 am Eastern Standard
Time (EST) and ending at 6:00 pm EST Monday through Friday. Core hours are typically 0900-1500;
however, each site will determine actual core hours.

Government Furnished Equipment (laptop, laptop case, card readers, etc.) provided as required.

Travel: In and Around Travel / CONUS and OCONUS may be required.
