Industrial Maintenance Specialist
We are looking for a Maintenance Specialist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial setting, for our client in the Shelby area. If you're hard-working and dedicated and want to work for a stable company, this is the ideal place.
Position is Temp to Hire
The Maintenance Specialist is a multi-craft position that performs troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, condition monitoring and repairs to the facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine general maintenance at the facility including but not limited to structural repairs, paint, replace ceiling tiles, etc.
- Conduct preventative maintenance in and around the facility to minimize risk
- Repair faulty equipment/structures
- Act as primary contact for all HVAC, plumbing etc.
- Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
- Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure standards are upheld
- Install structures or fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware, using carpenters' hand or power tools.
- General duties including light plumbing work, concrete work, painting, cleaning, and landscaping
- All other duties as assigned
1st Shift 40-hour workweek, but overtime may be required due to unexpected maintenance issues.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years in similar or related field
- Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques
- Possess the ability to stand for long periods of time
- Effective ability to prioritize tasks to completion
- Possess the ability to independently lift up to 50 pounds
