  • Pay ranges from $6,000-$10,000 depending on project / role
  • Paid semi-monthy


JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Canvass Management roles are the day-to-day executors and managers of direct voter contact programs.


Projects include direct voter contact programs, voter registration drives, and signature collection. Canvass teams work with our leadership and partner with clients to build and execute robust, people-focused programs that take off quickly. 


Responsibilities include all functional elements of managing a canvass office environment: 

  • Staff management
  • Recruiting
  • Training
  • Scheduling
  • Time and attendance
  • Onboarding and offboarding
  • Canvass shift preparation and planning
  • Canvass shift execution and supervision
  • Canvass data analysis, engineering, and visualization
  • Canvass productivity reporting


The duration and location of projects vary but always include strong back office operational support and strategic guidance. If you consider yourself a "people" or "process" person with a passion for civic engagement and community action, this position is for you!


KEY ATTRIBUTES

  • Campaign or public affairs experience
  • Management and planning experience including creating divisions of labor, personality management, and productivity reporting
  • Hyper focused on project metrics with creative / flexible problem-solving skills ensuring project objectives / goals are met
  • Software proficiency with programs such as Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and online project management tools
  • Training and social skills that translate to diverse, non-political staff
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail 
  • Ability to work well with a team and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to take direction / feedback from management, be self-motivated, and work independently
  • Campaign data analysis experience preferred
  • Experience cutting turf, creating voter lists, tracking voter contact progress, and analyzing data using SmartVAN / NGP VAN / MiniVAN
  • Demonstrated capability to compile, sort, filter, clean, visualize, and explain complex data using tools such as Google Sheets and Excel
  • Must have a laptop / computer and access to internet
  • The antithesis of a, “Is that my job?” attitude
