Supervising SLP position
To identify difficulties with speech or related problems and provide speech therapy and rehabilitative services to clients with language/communication disorders, swallowing difficulties or other related problems. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide assistance to the physician in evaluation of client level of function; determine type of speech or language disorder and recommend appropriate corrective therapy for client. Participates in development and modification of plan of care. Maintains current knowledge of client's condition through observations. Recommends changes to the plan of care as appropriate; implements changes in the plan of care upon receipt of authorized client's physician. Participates in case conferences, staff meetings and in-service education and training. Participates in or leads educational training and programs for the client and/or caregiver. JOB REQUIREMENTS Requires in-depth understanding of a comprehensive field of knowledge attained through graduation from an accredited speech and audiology program. Must maintain correct status.
