Job Description


The Administrative Assistant responsibility is to ensure proper flow of office procedures, and supports the office staff by carrying out common office duties.  Maintains a positive and friendly company image by acting as the first line of contact to visitors, employees, and customers in person, online, and via telephone for At Home Health Care Agency and At Home and At Play Senior Support Services.  




  • Minimum Associate Degree
  • 2+ years of hands on administrative support experience
  • In depth experience in home care or knowledge of health care
  • Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills, leadership skills, research skills, organizational skills, customer service techniques and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem-solving skills
  • Must perform and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently and work well under pressure
  • Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel and Scheduling program
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills – written and verbal
  • Ability to carry out directions, read and write, must have excellent follow up skills
  • Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job




  • Understands and adheres to established At Home Health Care Agency and At Home and At Play Senior Support Services
  • On call responsibility to include contacting schedulers regarding all scheduling needs in a timely manner
  • Manages reception area and looks after visitors and employees
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails
  • Assist in resolving any administrative problems
  • Assists in planning and arranging events
  • Manage calendars for Partners
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing and copying to management – open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence
  • Answers phone calls and transfers them as necessary
  • Drafts, formats, and prints relevant documents
  • Maintains stock lists and orders office supplies as needed
  • Interacts with Partners and carries out their requests
  • Creates agendas and takes meeting notes
  • Photocopies and files appropriate documents as needed
  • Knowledge of databases
  • Maintaining a clean and enjoyable working environment
  • Act as a resource person to partners and other staff members
  • Performs general office duties including but not limited to word processing, faxing/receiving, filing orders, photocopies, shreds, sort/distributes mail, schedules meetings for staff, provides reception and telephone services
  • Completes weekly and other reports




95% of work within office, 5% in field, when needed.
