About us

We are a UK based brand with a strong vision to make contemporary designed jewellery accessible to everyone. With 15 stores already in the UK, we've brought our famous ear stacks and beautiful stores to New York. After a very successful pop up in 2019 in Soho, we thought it was about time for A&M to make a permanent return to New York. Our mission is to empower people to celebrate each other, express and honour individuality and diversity and, of course, sparkle.

About this role:

This is an opportunity to join our very first US store in the beautiful area of Nolita as our tattoo artist. Tattoos are one of the amazing experiences we offer in our stores, along with piercing and jewellery welding. A popular and fun event, you'll be helping our customers make memories that last forever. Reporting into the Store Manager, you will play a vital role within the retail team.

What you'll be doing:

Customer Service

• Deliver an outstanding service and create a memorable customer journey
• Handle all customer queries effectively and efficiently, always providing guidance and reassurance
• Establish a personal connection with new and existing customers in order to build a loyal customer base
• Assisting on the job floor with customers when you have no appointments

• Responsible for handling and managing waste appropriately
• Completing consent forms with customers, answering any questions, and making appropriate recommendations
• Actioning Due Diligence checklists
• Ensure consistency with company procedures and communicating this to customers in a friendly, clear manner

• Maintain a clean, tidy studio at all times, including a deep clean once a week
• Ensure tattoo design stencils are prepared

• Keep up to date with products knowledge relating to all Astrid & Miyu products

• At least 2 years studio experience
• Excellent people skills
• A resourceful attitude, but able to ask for support when needed
• Excellent communication skills
• A sense of self-motivation and an innate drive to be the best version of yourself
• Enthusiastic and hard working
• Passionate about the Astrid & Miyu brand
• A collaborative team player
• Exceptionally organised, possessing a key attention to detail
• Commercially aware and able to contribute ideas to enhance the business

• $28-32/hr
• Product allowance
• Allowance towards healthcare if full-time
• 20 days holiday incl bank holidays + 1 day per year of service
• Unlimited tips
• Commission
