The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES) is currently searching for an Executive Office & Governance Assistant.

 

The Executive Office & Governance Assistant will be responsible for providing a high level of administrative support to the Board of Directors with governance-related activities and the Leadership Team at ADCES. Our Board and Committee members are busy professionals and rely on this individual to stay organized and keep all projects moving forward according to schedule.

 

For success in this role, you must possess ability to provide appropriate communication and support to organizational stakeholders, and manage a high volume of work priorities including but not limited to:

  

  • Serve as primary point person for various governance and executive level activities and projects, develop and manage timelines and drafting of board-related materials.
  • Work with members of ADCES senior management to ensure that all materials presented for Board and Committee meetings are complete, professional, and delivered according to agreed upon timelines.
  • Work with Meetings Services Department to carry out logistical planning for quarterly Board meetings and events, including ADCES Annual Conference.
  • Coordinate booking and travel arrangements; manage budget and expenses and reimbursements with Finance/Accounting team.
  • Take minutes at Board and Governance Committee meetings for governance record and distribution.


EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Previous administrative experience required (3-5+ years) at Executive level, including prior experience working with Governance/Board of Directors.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating board relations and governance activities.
  • Prior experience leading both live meetings and virtual meetings.
  • Non-profit or association experience preferred.
  • College courses in applicable field a plus.
