What do we need?

The Senior Manager, IT Support reports to the Director of IT Operations and oversees support activities of the information technology (IT) department, ensuring that systems, services, and infrastructure work reliably and securely. This individual also provides guidance and leadership to the IT support department and its technicians, and directly oversees the Support Manager, who is responsible for supporting end users by handling escalations, resolving user issues, and monitoring the performance of business-critical systems to prevent delays and down-time.


  • Participates as a technical resource on IT projects.
  • Maintains subject matter expertise (SME) in all applications for systems and maintains knowledge on all new and upcoming technologies.
  • Resolve existing challenges surrounding IT helpdesk.
  • Introduce solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Direct IT support technicians.
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts. Consults with MSP, IT managers, and other departments as required.
  • Documents IT maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other IT Support Technicians to proactively solve problems too complex for one person.
  • May be required to act as "flight control" for any issues or projects as assigned by the Director of IT Operations.
  • Oversees upgrades and installations.
  • Participates in cross-functional IT duties as needed.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office/home office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This role can be performed in a fully remote capacity.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool, as necessary.

Education and Experience
  • High-School Diploma or GED required
  • Office 365 and Microsoft Azure engineering experience
  • ITIL/ITSM process experience
  • Strong understanding of networks, hardware, software, and Cloud technologies to support users and technical infrastructure
  • Ability to actively listen and extract the important information from end-user issues and complaints
  • Ability to accurately analyze hardware and software malfunctions to diagnose the root cause of the issue
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Requires very little direction and is self-motivated
  • Time management and ability to prioritize tasks and projects
  • Active MCSE, MCSA or MCITP certification is required and other Industry-specific certification in relevant computer operating systems, networking, or software is preferred
  • Experience with the ServiceNow ITSM platform is preferred
