Pay range for new hires: $20.88 - $33.40 / hr
Hire-in rates of pay are based upon the relevance of years of experience, education and certifications. Our talent acquisition team will help you understand how your direct experience will be considered.
Job Overview:
Based out of the hospital in Aspen, CO, the Record Management & Processing Specialist Collects daily discharges and performs HIM operational record processes to facilitate timely readiness for coding, to include assembly/analysis (assignment of deficiencies), final analysis (clearing of deficiencies), loose material filing, transcription download and report distribution, MPI consolidation or information processing, in keeping with Best Practice HIM protocols. RM&P Specialist is responsible for workflow efficiency and complying with industry standards of chart management, content and authentication. Proficiency in the operation of standard office equipment including computers, knowledge of software, reader printers, copiers, fax machines, telephones and pagers is required. Prepares and scans records as assigned. Manages electronic medical record with accuracy and timeliness

Primary Scope of Responsibilities:
- Ensures productivity and quality standards are maintained daily to provide for timely access to medical records.
- Performs release of information duties.
- Demonstrates purposeful service excellence through exceeding patient and coworker expectations.
- Adheres to federal, state and hospital rules and regulations concerning HIPAA privacy and security.
- Performs EHR analysis of scanned charts, within 5 days of discharge date, to make incomplete charts available to physicians/providers in a timely manner
- Monitors physician completion of incomplete charts, clears deficiencies timely; and assures replacement scanning is up to date
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an acute care hospital medical record department is preferred (not required).
- RHIT Certification is also preferred (not required)
