The Breakfast Attendant will set up, maintain, serve and clear items from the breakfast buffet that our hotel guests receive as part of their room stay. The Breakfast Attendant will interact with our guests to assist them with their breakfast needs & help enhance their stay by suggesting activities and resolving any issues that may arise. Service Standards Eye contact should be made at a distance of no less than 10 feet from every guest.
A genuine smile should be offered at a distance of no less than 5 feet from every guest. Employees should build rapport with guests during any conversation, if the guest responds to the initial statement with a conversational demeanor. Guest last name is used effectively, but discreetly, as a signal of recognition as least once and not more than twice during any conversation with guests.
Before concluding conversations, the guest is verbally offered additional assistance with a statement relevant to the guest's individual needs. Essential Functions of the Job Set up buffet station and mis en place to Chefs specifications Cooks food to order as necessary Set up, maintain, work and breakdown station and maintains area cleanliness throughout shift, cleans work area at shift end Properly stores all mis en place at shift end Submits production needs for the following day by shift end Have accurate working knowledge of the Micros system. Maintains breakfast buffet through meal period.
Assists in the clearing and set-up of tables during service. Ensures tableware and chairs are clean and in place. Completes side duties.
Maintain the proper care and cleanliness of tableware, serving equipment and service areas (front and back of house). Complete paperwork for each meal period ensuring accurate sales Ensure friendly greeting to all guests. Take orders and serve food and beverage requests promptly.
Ensure that established service procedures and standards are followed. Check with guests during breakfast for guest satisfaction. Understand and follow safety and sanitation procedures Be punctual Work well in a team environment Maintain professional appearance and behavior when in contact with customers and co-workers Follow policies and procedures as outlined in the employee resource guide Any other tasks assigned by supervisor, department manager or manager on duty .

Working holidays. Overtime may be required due to business need. The kitchen environment is one that can be hot or cold, floors can be slippery, and some areas poorly ventilated.
General working conditions may at times be intense and stressful. Physical Requirements - Ability to lift 40lbs and push/pull & carry and other items up to 100lbs. Constant reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing (near, far, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision).
Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, tasting, smelling. Dealing with noise of lobby area as well as phones Education, License/Certifications & Skills High School diploma or equivalent. Previous food and beverage experience preferred.
Ability to multi task and prioritize Competent with computer programs such as Micros. Must have the ability to work with numbers (cash exchange). Knowledge of food and cooking methods, ability to work well with people, strong organization and supervisory skills, good public relation skills, professional appearance.
Language Skills Excellent written and spoken English. Experience Prior guest service experience is required. Grooming All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Aspen Skiing Company Hospitality standards.
