Aspen Capital is in search of a Quantitative Financial Analyst to join our Portfolio Analytics team! This position will work with other quantitative analysts in developing and enhancing the existing modeling framework to support multiple business groups. Our ideal candidate enjoys balancing multiple projects and has a passion for finance and analytics.


Day to day you will


+ Identify opportunities to apply quantitative methods to improve business performance


+ Present models and methods to management, regulators and other modelers


+ Perform quantitative and thematic research in asset allocation and portfolio construction


+ Maintain and develop quantitative tools and investment strategies used by the private client business


+ Work on projects that involve data gathering and processing


+ Work on methodology, system and process enhancements


+ Assist with other ad hoc projects as assigned by management


Requirements


+ Master’s Degree in a quantitative field like Financial Engineering, Computational Finance, Mathematical Finance, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics


+ 3+ years of demonstrate working experience in finance or quantitative disciplines or equivalent related


+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel


+ Proficiency in Python, SQL and VBA


+ Strong research and analytical skills


+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills


+ Strong organization and time management skills


+ Excellent problem solving, research and critical thinking skills
