Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

PRINT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees the creation, print pre-press production, ordering and coordination of delivery of printed materials, such as patient workbooks, handouts, etc., as well as vendor relationship management.
  • Works/coordinates with staff throughout the production process, resolving inquiries, obtaining approvals of such materials as artwork, proofs, etc., in order to remain consistent with branding requirements and meet the request of the print order/project.
  • Processes all paperwork for departmental charges for work production.
  • Creates a monthly report on all work printed in-house to send to TBD and the Finance Department.
  • Meets all deadlines for printing and delivery of materials.
  • Orders and keeps tracks of supplies.

DESIGN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Rebranding of current in-house materials.
  • Graphic design of flyers, brochures, presentations, social media graphics, events and other materials.
  • Update in-house stakeholders on to status of projects.
  • Help with event planning and support.
  • Attend routine meetings representing the Marketing & Communications Department.

MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with other marketing and communications duties as needed (e.g., proofing of texts and graphics, writing of smaller texts/posts, assisting with smaller paid advertising campaigns, etc.).

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES FOR PRINT AND DESIGN ASSISTANT:

  • BA or BS in communications or related field with 1-2 years of experience or equivalent experience.
  • Graphic design experience required, using. Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Adobe Premier Pro experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
  • Strong project management skills to keep multiple deadlines and priorities on track, using the department’s project management tool.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills; takes initiative, and is comfortable working independently, prioritizing and managing multiple projects at the same time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong knowledge of English language/grammar and AP Style.
  • A problem-solver with strong planning, management, and communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Uses financial analysis to generate, evaluate and act on strategic options and opportunities.
  • Identifies and seizes new opportunities. Displays a can-do attitude in good and bad times. Steps up to handle tough issues.
