Payroll/Employee Benefits & Accounts Payable Manager

Hours: Full-Time Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (40 hours/week)

Position definition: This position is an integral member of the Business Services team, providing leadership in budgetary and accounting operations.
Supervision received: Receives overall direction from the Business Manager who outlines general policies, assigns duties and reviews work for conformance with standards. Performs regular duties on own initiative, exercising a high degree of judgment and tact.
Job duties include: The Payroll/Employee Benefits & Accounts Payable Manager is a highly responsible position requiring financial management and analytical skills. The position involves the performance of a wide variety of professional payroll, employee benefits, accounts payable and financial control functions for a combined Finance Department. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be detail oriented and highly organized, able to recommend and administer policies and procedures, and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Required Education & Experience: Associates Degree or equivalent experience and four years of responsible payroll, employee benefits or office accounting/ bookkeeping experience. Experience and/or knowledge of applicable FOIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and FMLA laws.
