Position - Labor Scheduler
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 6 months
Pay - $20$ an hr. on W2 No Benefits
REQUIRED-revise the following to accurately reflect the business need:
OVERVIEW The labor scheduler position is responsible for the effective and efficient scheduling and placement of production employees into the correct shift and positions within the plant. In addition, the position is responsible for managing employee absences, scheduling vacations, and proper administration of time reporting as necessary. In some instances the LS/AS will directly supervise production employees in areas such as Quality, Safety, Cost, Delivery and Performance Management.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES · Prepare and post Employee weekly and weekend schedules on time and according to plant polices and contractual guidelines. · Administer the proper replacement of employees into positions created by absences. · Manage annual employee vacation scheduling program and �prime time� vacation canvassing process. · Enter data into various systems in an efficient and accurate manner. Track employee job bids, position changes and training certifications for qualified positions. · Assigns work and directs/manages/supervises the activities of subordinates to achieve goals and objectives for the assigned area of responsibility and budgets. · Responsible for efficient office management such as: assignment of proper cost centers, ordering supplies, employee absences and proper filing of documents such as schedules etc. · Communicates continually with peers, supervisors and support groups to maintain an atmosphere that fosters collaboration toward all production objectives and bakery goals. · Coordinates and manages employee relation activities including labor relations, grievance response, safety, absenteeism, labor efficiencies and employee selection and training; consults with Human Resources on such matters as required. · Promotes, follows and enforces all EEO/AAP, ADA, Safety and Health and Worker�s Compensation policies and procedures and related state and federal laws and regulations and ensures compliance within the assigned area of responsibility; consults with Human Resources on such matters as required. · Required to work shifts, overtime and weekends as necessary · Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE · Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.). · Excellent analytical skills and prior database experience with SAP and Access. · Attention to detail and ability to follow step by step procedures. · Demonstrated ability to handle numerous projects within specific deadlines and procedures. · Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Demonstrated ability to handle conflict effectively. · Individuals must be able to work shifts and weekends as needed. ·
Four Year degree -Bachelor Science/Bachelor Arts · NCRC level Silver or higher preferred.
