Job Description
Ascensus Specialties is a world class global chemical manufacturing company looking to expand our team in Human Resources. This is a true HR Generalist position working with an HR leadership team that is committed towards a business-integrated approach in people management, while having fun at the same time. You will have the ability to interface with multiple levels of leadership in a variety of areas and help us ensure global consistency as we continue to grow and find new ways to adapt to the market and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate human resources strategies for the assigned group that will facilitate the achievement of business goals.
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding personnel practices, policies, and applicable laws. Interpret and implement HR Policies and Practices to ensure effective and consistent employee and labor relations.
  • Establish and maintain effective labor relations management.
  • Work with employees and managers to resolve conflicts and provide guidance and counsel for HR-related issues.
  • Coordinate activities to maintain proper staffing levels in the business and sites consistent with company policies.
  • Provide consultation on training & development activities required to support the businesses.
  • Conduct annual salary surveys, analyze compensation and make recommendations based on market information.
  • Coordinate benefits administration, leave management, and ADA activities.
  • Establish and maintain personnel records and reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field. Equivalent experience may apply.
  • 3 - 5 years of broad-based HR experience, to include experience working with labor unions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in HR, business, or related field.
  • Certification through SHRM or HRCI, i.e. SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, PHR.
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing.

Salary Range: $75,000 to $115,000
Targeted Hiring Range: $75,000 to $95,000, depending on experience.
This position is eligible for a 5% bonus based on individual and company performance.
