Job Description

With offices in Brooklyn, Glen Burnie, Pasadena, Severna Park, and Annapolis, we have committed ourselves to personal, friendly service. We know most of our customers by name and there are no "800" numbers at Arundel Federal. As a Customer Service Representative, you will help our customers with a variety of services in the branch and may occasionally act as a Teller.  Some of your duties will include:
  • Opening new accounts, such as deposit, checking, CD’s, IRA's, etc., and helping customers with transactions (i.e., stop payments, check re-orders, payroll, and direct deposit).
  • Processing transaction related business (i.e., mail, distributions, etc.). 

  • Handling miscellaneous activities such as ATM claims and unauthorized transactions.
  • Utilize your tact and experience-based knowledge to research and resolve customer inquiries and account issues, and by explaining specific policies and products. 
  • Representing the Bank in a professional manner and maintaining positive customer relations.  
  • Performs all duties of a Teller, including balancing daily, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for applying requirements relating to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and Customer Identification Program (CIP) including Beneficial Ownership (BO).
  • Responsible for applying all the regulatory requirements during the performance of the job duties as assigned.
  • Complete all annual required BSA and other bank compliance training timely.
What you need: 
  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • At least 2 years’ related experience in a financial institution.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous sales experience or the ability to learn and cross-sell our products and services.
  • Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A strong service orientation and willingness to sell products and services.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient in use of PCs, Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
  • Ability to function in a branch environment and utilize standard office equipment such as a PC, fax, copier, telephone, etc.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more.
  • Some travel may be required.
